  6.     Above its domes the gulfs accumulate..
  7.     Far up, the sea-gales blare their bitter screed:
  8.     But here the buried waters take no heed--
  9.     Deaf, and with welded lips pressed down by weight
  10.     Of the upper ocean. Dim, interminate,
  11.     In cities over-webbed with somber weed,
  12.     Where galleons crumble and the krakens breed,
  13.     The slow tide coils through sunken court and gate.
  14.  
  15.     From out the ocean's phosphor-starry dome,
  16.     A ghostly light is dubitably shed
  17.     On alters of a goddess garlanded
  18.     With blossoms of some weird and hueless vine;
  19.     And, wingΘd, fleet, through skies beneath the foam,
  20.     Like silent birds the sea-things dart and shine.
